Drawing upon 15 years of practical experience in engineering, Ms. DoVale most recently served as an engineering manager at Integrated Engineering Software, Inc., in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, from 1992 until her retirement in 1993. Prior to this illustrious appointment, she held a position as the engineering manager at NPS Technologies Group, Inc., in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, from 1989 to 1992, where she also served as a project manager in Secaucus, New Jersey, between 1988 and 1989. Likewise, she is a past project engineer, lead engineer, senior engineer, and engineer at Nuclear Power Services, Inc., in Secaucus, serving in these roles between 1980 and 1988. Ms. DoVale commenced her career in 1978 as an associate engineer at M.W. Kellogg Co. in Hackensack, New Jersey, serving in the position for two years.
A registered professional engineer in the State of New Jersey, Ms. DoVale pursued a formal education before embarking on her professional path. She has held a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1978 and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University since 1982. Demonstrating versatility in her field, Ms. DoVale is also a pronounced author and editor of several computer manuals.
Maintaining affiliation with numerous organizations, Ms. DoVale is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Nuclear Society, for which she excelled as a member on the executive committee of the New Jersey section between 1986 and 1989 and again from 1991 to 1994. She was also a member of the board of directors of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alumni Club of Northern New Jersey, where she also served as the membership vice president, program vice president and the first woman president. Furthermore, Ms. DoVale has remained associated with the Society of Women Engineers and the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. DoVale was honored with the Joseph Wenick Award from the M.I.T. Club of Northern New Jersey in 1992. Additionally, she is a recognized fellow of the Ford Foundation National Research Council. Married to her husband Antonio Joseph DoVale Jr. since 1981, Ms. DoVale enjoys crocheting in her spare time.
