Initially inspired by her passion for the outdoors and winter sports, she began her career as a children's educational team member for the Professional Ski Instructors of America with the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI), a role she has held since 1998. In 2004, she became additionally active as a training manager for Vail Resorts at Beaver Creek Resort. Likewise, Ms. Gerrish has worked as a coach educator for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, formerly known as the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association, since 2012.
Utilizing a Bachelor of Science in business, marketing and management from Skidmore College and a degree in web design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Ms. Gerrish believes that her harness on overcoming adversity has been the greatest contributing factor to her success. She has had to continuously persevere throughout both her personal and professional life, and whenever she has been challenged, she chooses to take advantage of her skills to surpass expectations and experience growth. Alongside her primary responsibilities, Ms. Gerrish has found success as the children education chair of the Rocky Mountain Division of Professional Ski Instructors of America and the alpine education chair of the United States Ski Coaching Association.
Moreover, Ms. Gerrish has also excelled as a trustee of the Vermont Institute of Nature Science and the Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society. In addition to her perseverance, she attributes her success to her passion and dedication to her jobs, as well as the inspiration she has gleaned from her many mentors. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gerrish intends to further her career as an entrepreneur and share what she has learned with other professionals.
