As a child, Mr. Kaltreider and his father shared a love of racing cars. After confiding in his father that he wanted to race, he attended an auction where he bought two calves. His father promised that if he raised both calves, the money he made from them could be saved for a race car. Shortly before he was going to sell the calves, his father passed away, so his mother kept the money in reserve for him. Although she was not keen on him racing, he went on to compete in Microsprints at 16 years of age and has continued as a professional driver until today.
Mr. Kaltreider participated in the Nationals in Ohio, where he placed third overall. His best finish to date in the ARCA Series is 15th at Pocono International Raceway. Since 2002, he has competed in 100 races with 5 wins and has skillfully finished in the top 20 in the last 2 ARCA races at Pocono while driving cars that his team worked hard to perfect. He is a veteran of the World of Outlaw and All-Star Sprint Car competition as well as weekly 410-cubic inch spring car racing from 1995-2000. He has also tested Nextel Cup Cars at some of the circuit's premier tracks.
In 1991, Mr. Kaltreider established Brian Kaltreider Construction, which specializes in log home builds. He remains aware of industry changes through his affiliation with Land Improvement Contractors of America, which recognized him as a Top Contractor in 2011. Mr. Kaltreider attended Slippery Rock University on a scholarship and holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science earned in 1997.
