Dr. Joshi is renowned as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Texas Tech University. He initially earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, during which time he completed a year of internship in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrical gynecology. Between 2013 to 2019, Dr. Joshi completed his residencies in psychiatry and pursued additional fellowships in child and adolescent psychiatry and in forensic psychiatry at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Joshi is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Louisiana, and holds licenses from the Medical Council of India and the Delhi Medical Council.
Among other honors, Dr. Joshi has been presented with four consecutive Psychiatry Scholar's Awards from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He is a member of multiple medical organizations including the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, for which he participates on the forensic training committee, and is an affiliate of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Dr. Joshi attributes his career success to the support of his family members and his mentor, Dr. Lee Stevens.
