A son of two physicians, and former athlete turned family medical doctor in Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Citrin excelled as an attending physician for MDNow Urgent Care before opening his practice where he serves as president and chief executive officer of Citrin Medical Corp, where he provides personalized preventive medical care to patients using the best modern medical technology has to offer delivered with a warm service-oriented personal approach to provide. Prior to these appointments, Dr. Citrin gained valuable medical expertise with Urgent Care of Fort Lauderdale and as an orthopedic research assistant for Holy Cross Hospital, where he worked in 2014.
After earning a High School Degree from Tampa Preparatory School in 2001, where he won the Science Award for excellence in AP Sciences, graduated in the top 10%, and captained soccer and track teams, Dr. Citrin earned a BS cum laude from Davidson College in 2005. He spent four years training athletes as a strength and conditioning coach and competing in bodybuilding competitions, winning the Mr. Gainesville Middleweight and Overall Title in 2006. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree with Honors through Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class in 2013, and was inducted into the Psi Omega Alpha AOA Medical Honor Scoiety. Upon graduating Nova Southeastern, he pursued a traditional rotating internship with an orthopedic focus through University Hospitals in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Through his certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning, Dr. Citrin has also honed his expertise in sports medicine, hormone replacement therapy and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Citrin is Board Eligible in General Practice with the American Academy of General Practice, a Founding Fellow and Diplomate with the American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians. He is a member of the American Academy of Lifestyle Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, Florida Osteopathic Medical Associations and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in order to remain aware of changes in the medical field. Over the years, he has also provided his time and resources to Nova Southeastern College of Medicine, serving as Clinical Faculty, Weinberg Assisted Living Facilities, Shands Pediatric Lipids Clinic, the YMCA, Davidson College and Wake Forest University. With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Citrin has further contributed his research to several articles, including "In-Hospital Mortality Risk for Intertrochanteric Hip Fractures: A Comprehensive Review of the U.S. Medicare Database from 2005-2010."
Due to his outstanding work in medicine, Dr. Citrin has been honored on many occasions. His Practice, Citrin Medical has been a local business of the year, and Doctor of the Year multiple years running and this year was inducted into the Boca Business Hall of Fame for 2019. In medical School he was nominated for student of the year and inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha AOA Medical Honor Society. In College he was included in both Alpha Epsilon Delta Premed Honor Society and Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society, as well as the National Residence Hall Honorary for GPA in top 1% of freshman class. In 2006, he also accepted the Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship.
