ROYAL OAK, MI, January 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Mary Carol-Lenn Saylor with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Saylor celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

At the end of 2018, Ms. Saylor retired after nearly half a century of excellence in the financial industry. She dedicated her career to running her own private practice as a tax professional in Royal Oak from 1972 until her retirement. Bringing her eldest son, Scott, into the practice in 2005, he received an Enrolled Agent status that same year and soon assumed responsibility over the financial area of the business. By the fifth year of his involvement, he purchased the business from Ms. Saylor, which he continued to grow and mature while keeping her private practice in the family as she served clients and gradually turned over the remainder of the business to her son.

Ms. Saylor's father was a general practitioner who made regular house calls. Spending a lot of time with her father, who could constantly talk finance with her during her formative years, she didn't realize the value of this knowledge until she married her first husband, a restaurant manager, who suggested taking a tax course before launching her own business. Ms. Saylor completed the course and eventually decided to teach it before working for H&R Block for three years. When the company wanted to relocate her, she made the decision to begin her own practice due to the close personal connections that she had built with many clients over that time.

Ms. Saylor was a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the International Board of Certified Financial Planners and the Financial Planning Association of Michigan as well as a registered representative with the National Association of Securities Dealers. Her proudest accomplishment is that she was able to build strong relationships with her clients, having helped many people and made them feel comfortable throughout her distinguished career.
