He joined the Rogers Financial Group in 1989 after working as a regional sales manager for the Liberty Corporation from 1982 to 1988. Mr. Rogers has been additionally active teaching as an adjunct professor at Webster University in St. Louis since 1994.
Mr. Rogers initially attended Clemson University, receiving a bachelor's degree in 1964 and a master's degree in 1966. He subsequently pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in finance management from La Salle University, graduating in 1994. Mr. Rogers has also been designated as a registered securities representative with Royal Alliance Associates since 1986 as well as a chartered life underwriter, chartered financial consultant and certified kingdom advisor.
Mr. Rogers began his career in the financial industry when he attained his license to sell life insurance and mutual funds in 1965 while he was still studying for his master's degree. He discovered his interest in securities from a professor during his graduate program at Clemson who encouraged him to pursue a career in the financial field, leading him to work in financial planning and to pursue his license. Mr. Rogers' loved working with people, and he continued selling mutual funds to military personnel during his time as a captain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. Upon leaving the military, he accepted a position in the training program with Metropolitan Life and built his career from that opportunity.
While there have been many highlights throughout his career, Mr. Rogers' friendships that he has built over his career have been the most rewarding. He was been recognized throughout his distinguished career, receiving the Loren Dunton Memorial Award for his significant contributions to the financial industry. Mr. Rogers was additionally presented with a Decorated Bronze Star and Oak Leaf Cluster in recognition of his military service.
