Donna L. Duffy was recognized as the Teacher of the Year by the Governor of New Jersey in 2017 and in 2005.

Having accrued over 30 years of expertise as an English language educator, Ms. Duffy has garnered a lauded reputation as a language arts teacher with the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School since 1994. Throughout her tenure at the aforementioned school, she has served as a presenter at the in-service writing workshop for the board of education in 1997, as well as for the in-service language arts curriculum guide for grade eight in 2019. An interdisciplinary instructor for the New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Ms. Duffy initially worked as a language arts teacher at Joyce Kilmer School in Milltown from 1992 to 1994 and a teacher of English at Saint Mary High School in South Amboy between 1989 and 1992.
Prior to embarking upon her career as an educator, Ms. Duffy pursued an education at Trenton State College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English education, cum laude, in 1988. She continued her academic efforts at Georgian Court University, earning a Master of Arts in education in 1998 and a Master of Arts in instructional technology in 2004. During this time, she obtained certification in instructional technology and supervising from the aforementioned institution in 2000 and 1999, respectively. Likewise, Ms. Duffy is certified as a teacher of English in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Ms. Duffy has maintained her professional membership within the National County of Teachers of English. A proud member of the honorable society of Kappa Delta Pi, she has also been presented with numerous accolades throughout the length of her career, having been recognized as the Teacher of the Year by the Governor of New Jersey in 2017 and in 2005. In 1998, Ms. Duffy also accepted an Outstanding Educational Program Award from the New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
