Inspired by her grandmother, a justice of the peace in a small town, Ms. Favard was encouraged to pursue a career in law. Today, she serves as an attorney with Sapphire Legal, where she specializes in employment and construction law. In previous years, she gained valuable expertise as an attorney and shareholder for Bullivant Houser Bailey PC from 2004 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2017, and with Anderson Hunter Law Finn between 2010 and 2014. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Favard is especially proud of establishing her own firm and having clients who appreciate her genuine and supportive nature.
Before beginning her career in the law, Ms. Favard initially pursued an education at the University of Montana in the mid-1990s before receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Heritage University in 2000. Subsequently, she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2003. Ms. Favard is admitted to practice law in front of the Courts of the State of Washington, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Tulalip Tribal Court, and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
Due to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Favard has been consistently recognized as a Rising Star through Super Lawyers. Additionally, she has accepted the Silver Status Award and an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. She was further selected for inclusion in several features in Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
