With her company's tagline as "Clothes with Dignity," her design style is inspired by contemporary and classic elegance and all pieces are custom made in Miami. Prior to spearheading her line, Ms. Gunn excelled as a recruiting manager for Gunn & Associates Inc. from 2010 to 2012 and as a part of the outreach ministry for Cavalry Church from 2009 to 2010.
Previously, Ms. Gunn had worked as a business development manager at House + House Home. In addition to her responsibilities with Chelsea Gunn Designs, she is active as a board member for Helping Women in Crisis Epic Beauty, Palm Beach Women's Network and You Mom. Likewise, Ms. Gunn is a supporter of the Chasing a Dream Foundation and a member of the Bow Down Church.
When Ms. Gunn was 14 years old, her family moved to Palm Beach County, FL, from Tennessee, where she was introduced to the local fashion scene. Dressing in her new home was different from her Midwest style, as she would put something on that would be distinguished and different. Embracing a desire to be unique, Ms. Gunn noticed the strength and dignity she felt when she dressed a certain way, and when she became an adult, she wanted to create something that could make women feel empowered. Their business motto is to "Give to all" as it supports any non- profit through product donation.
Ms. Gunn attributes her success to her husband and parents, and everything in her life to God. She believes God handed her a manufacturer and the fabric source, as she started the company without ever leaving the state of Florida. Living by the motto that "Nothing is impossible with God," Ms. Gunn imbues to up-and-coming professionals in her field that it is not the fight to be successful, but never giving up that is important.
Looking toward the future, Chelsea Gunn Designs is launching a more affordable collection, whereas now the line is in the high-end of her industry. She further hopes to grow her company while letting everyone enjoy the clothing.
