A partner of Doerner, Saunders, Daniel and Anderson, LLP, Ben is a distinguished Oklahoma City Real Estate attorney with more than 35 years of experience. Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in 1979 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oklahoma's College of Law in 1982, he was admitted to practice law in Oklahoma that same year. Alongside his primary career responsibilities, Ben serves as the current President of the Board of Trustees of the Oklahoma City Ballet. Holding the role until mid-2020, he has previously served the Ballet as its President-Elect and the governance committee chair, as well as serving on the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees. Likewise, Ben has also been an active member of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court since 2010, and maintained his affiliation with the Oklahoma Bar Association on their civil procedure committee, banking law sections, estate planning and probate sections.
Ben attributes his success to his strong work ethic and the privilege of having great clients and colleagues. Among the notable highlights of his career, he helped the OKC Ballet, a well-respected nonprofit organization acquire an iconic building to further their mission. Additionally, Ben has helped several established multi-unit restaurant operators significantly increase the size of their companies. In one case, growing from a 20-unit operator to an 80-unit operator in less than three years, and in another, he led his clients through a complicated transaction that doubled the size of an already significant restaurant operator.
Approaching the law as a deal maker and not a deal-breaker, Ben has always maintained a steadfast passion for the needs of his clients. As a testament to his success, he was named Master of the Year by the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court in 2013 and One of the 50 Most Powerful Oklahomans by the Oklahoma City Friday Newspaper in 2018. Furthermore, Ben was recognized by Best Lawyers of Oklahoma City in Real Estate Law in 2019 and 2020 and Bankruptcy and Reorganization Law for 2018-2020, as well as Best Lawyers in America.
