Mr. Blau has nearly 25 years of experience representing Fortune 500 companies in complex product liability and multiparty mass tort litigation. He serves as national, regional and local counsel defending premises owners and manufacturers and distributors of consumer and intermediary goods and equipment, including building and construction materials, electrical products, automotive parts, molding compounds, safety products, and pharmaceutical products.
He has substantial experience with medical and other expert testimony and evaluation, and extensive experience with depositions and all aspects of discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and litigation in multidistrict mass tort. His experience also includes crafting individual as well as complex group settlements, drafting case management orders for courts, consolidations and class actions. Craig's firm serves as court-appointed defense liaison counsel in the New York City Asbestos Litigation.
He commenced his career as a law clerk to the late Honorary Malcolm Muir of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Mr. Blau has contributed to numerous creative works. The co-author of the article "A Relief in Tort Law for 'Deep-Pocket' Defendants," he also authored a book chapter, "Limiting Product Liability and Addressing Mass Tort Litigation," in 2008.
Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts, attained with cum laude honors, from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1991, Mr. Blau likewise earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northeastern University in 1994. He has been admitted to the state bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has been highlighted in the 69th edition of Who's Who in America in 2014, as well as the 17th through 19th editions of Who's Who in American Law between 2011 and 2015.
