Ed DesRosier was recognized among the Top 50 Native Business Entrepreneurs announced by Native Business Magazine in 2019

Dedicated to preserving the areas in and around Glacier National Park, Mr. DesRosier has served as the owner of Sun Tours in Glacier National Park, a Blackfeet Indian Native Cultural Interpreter Company, since 1992. A Blackfoot Indian interpretative tour company, Sun Tours highlights the connection of the tribe to the land at Glacier National. In order to remain aware of changes in his line of work, Mr. DesRosier is affiliated with the Blackfeet Tribal Tourism Board and the American Indian and Alaskan Native Tourism Association.
Ever since he was a child, Mr. DesRosier and his family would hike around and explore the area. With the touring company, he provides visitors with an authentic experience regarding the history of the area. "We share our values of resources, protection, balance of nature, and our native connection to the landscape that has given our people a bountiful life for thousands of years before it became a national park," Mr. DesRosier said.
Due to his outstanding work, Mr. DesRosier was honored by the Montana Office of the Governor in 2017 and received the Centennial Commemoration Award from Glacier National Park. Additionally, he was recognized among the Top 50 Native Business Entrepreneurs announced by Native Business Magazine in 2019 and he accepted the Tourism Ambassador Award from the Montana Office of Tourism in 2018. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand upon the company's services and lead projects on Blackfeet reservations to encourage tours and opportunities with tribal leaders. Likewise, Mr. DesRosier hopes to promote buffalo tours in the national parks and assemble tribal leaders to start a Blackfeet National Park on the outskirts of Glacier National Park.
