BROOKLYN, NY, March 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeff Greene has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Greene has excelled as the president, chairman and founder of EverGreene Architectural Arts, Inc. (est. 1978) located in Brooklyn, New York. In these posts, he has represented a myriad of notable architectural projects, such as multiple assignments for the United States Capitol in Washington D.C., the Library of Congress, the Federal Reserve, and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, among others. Moreover, Mr. Greene served as the project executive for architectural works at the Illinois State Capitol, the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse, the Santa Barbara County Courthouse, the Pantages Theatre, Kings Theatre, and Radio City Music Hall, to name a few.

Mr. Greene holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As a student, he also studied painting at the Art Students League of New York, completing coursework in 1975. He subsequently obtained a Fresco scholarship at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 1976. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Greene conducted formal training through the School of Visual Arts, the National Academy of Design and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Early in his career, he completed a year-long course with the National Paint and Coating Association studying paint chemistry.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Greene has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has contributed to the Association for Preservation Technology as a member of the board of directors. He is also a professional associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works. He served as the president for the National Society of Mural Painters and is an active board member for the Theatre Historical Society of America and past board member and current member of the League of Historic American Theaters.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Greene remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained his involvement with the American Society of Interior Designers and the Society of Gilders. Mr. Greene is also involved with the Smithsonian Institution and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Greene has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. He has been notably recognized as one of the foremost experts in both traditional and innovative techniques for murals, ornamental plaster, and decorative finishes by peers and clients alike. Likewise, Mr. Greene was presented with the Arthur Ross Award from the Institute for Classical Art and Architecture in 2011, the Pillar Award from the Preservation League of New York State in 2014, and the Landmarks Lion Award from the Historic Districts Council in 2018.

Before starting EverGreene in 1978, Mr. Greene initially served his mural apprenticeship and formative years painting billboards and outdoor advertising in Times Square before moving forward to fine art and art preservation. Believing that preserving the past is integral to maintaining the character of a place, he attributes his success to his hard work, his ability to discover creative solutions to complex problems, and the wonderful colleagues who have shared his vision and determination. Looking toward the future, Mr. Greene hopes to spend more time mentoring the next generation of architectural preservationists so that they may hold the same standards of quality and aspiration that he has held to this day, as well as working on his personal art and spending time with his grandchildren.
