Leading an impressive career in information technology for close to 50 years, Ms. Lockhart officially retired in 2014 as a program re-platform analyst for Fidelity Investments after two years with the organization. She came from Sound Solutions where she worked part-time as an iOS coder, Bank of America as a lead software engineer, and Shared Financial Systems, a start-up company where Ms. Lockhart worked her way up from coder to project manager. Additionally, Ms. Lockhart held various programming and management positions across Texas with CIF Project Banking Systems Inc., University Computing Company, Optimum Systems Inc. and several other organizations.
Ms. Lockhart volunteered as an English as a second language teacher and board member with Literacy Achieves. A nonprofit adult literacy program based in Dallas, the organization is designed to improve the communication and life skills of non-English speaking adults and children. Ms. Lockhart is a member of Mensa and an elder at her local Presbyterian church since 1989.
An alumnus of Texas Christian University, Ms. Lockhart received a Bachelor of Science in physics in 1967. She later completed postgraduate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1971. She is a past president of the Chapel Downs Community Center. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Lockhart has been featured in the 15th and 16th editions of Who's Who of American Women.
