Ms. Mikol, best known for her work on the movies Chain Reaction, Far and Away, and Return to Me, is a celebrated figure in the arts and entertainment industry for more than 30 years. lnspired by the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a child, she always desired to work in the arts and entertainment industry, Ms. Mikol's illustrious career, which began while working as a production assistant for The Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago and later for Delta Productions, eventually evolved into a successful career as a production assistant working on multiple feature films in the city of Chicago. As her career progressed, she became a 2nd Assistant Director as a member of the Directors Guild of America.
After finishing college, Ms. Mikol initially gained expertise while working on documentaries. Her first position included investigative research at a local Chicago fire department, during which she followed one shift of firefighters throughout their daily responsibilities. Years later, in 1990, she secured a position on a feature film after writing a letter to the director Ron Howard and explaining her prior experience. The movie, Backdraft, which starred Kurt Russell, William Baldwin and Robert De Niro, was based on two Chicago firefighter brothers. Since that time. Ms. Mikol enjoyed numerous opportunities in the film industry, working on several memorable movies filmed in Chicago, including Save the Last Dance, While You Were Sleeping, Hardball, Shall We Dance, Rookie of the Year and Batman Begins.
When she went to college, she pursued an Associate of Arts degree at Triton College, She then transferred to Columbia College, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in television with a minor in film. She is still currently a member of the Directors Guild of America. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Mikol has been included in the second edition of Who's Who in Entertainment. the 22nd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest and the fourth edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
