The genesis of the inspiration were the flooding problems in Bongsan-dong Yeosu City due to lack of pump station installation sites. Since the company's inception, he has developed various flood prevention technologies to resolve the problem directly.
As the chief executive officer of the company, Mr. Kim has successfully completed 110 storm water pumping station projects. One of the most notable projects is the completion of Andong Storm Water Pumping Station in South Korea in 2009. It was at that time the first and largest storm water pumping station in the world at a pumping capacity of 20 cubic meters per second.
An expert in his field, Mr. Kim has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He retains his professional affiliations with the Korean Disaster Prevention Association and the Korean Professional Engineers Association. During his spare time, Mr. Kim contributes to his community as a member of the new technology evaluation committee for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation of Korea.
Throughout his storied career, Mr. Kim has obtained patents for a floodgate equipped with hydropower generation, a horizontal swing operating pump mounted gate, an emergency descendible actuator, an apparatus for cutting of trash for a submersible pump, a pump mounted gate, an actuator for a hinged pump gate and much more. In light of his professional achievements, he has been presented with several awards from the Commissioner of the National Emergency Management Agency, the Minister of Public Safety & Security, the Governor of Jeollanam-do, the Commissioner of the Public Procurement Service and the Minister of Trade and Industry.
