Since receiving a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 1964 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Harvard Law School in 1967, Mr. Pollack had a thriving career in the entertainment law industry. Prior to and following his admission to the New York State Bar in 1969, he has provided his services to various high-profile clients and companies. To wit, Mr. Pollack worked with a start-up at Harvard Medical School before interviewing for positions in the entertainment industries.

Mr. Pollack frequently inquired at the Harvard Law School Career Services office, and one day discovered a posting from United Artists Corporation in New York, which was looking for a recent law school graduate. Mr. Pollack was chosen over many other applicants. In 1968 he began as a counsel at United Artists Corporation, and he remained there until 1970.

From 1970 to 1974, Mr. Pollack provided in-house legal services for AVCO Embassy Pictures and AVCO Embassy Records. From mid-1974 through 1978 he served as an assistant general attorney at CBS Records. He continued his career as the vice president, general counsel and secretary at Arista Records between the years of 1979 and 1991 and as the vice president, senior counsel at Sony Music Entertainment Inc. from 1992 to mid-1995. In July 1995 he was hired by Elektra Entertainment Group as its senior vice president, general counsel. In 2004 Warner Music Group merged Atlantic and Elektra. For a transition year before retirement, Mr. Pollack served as a Senior Vice President of the Atlantic Records Group. Thereafter, he occasionally accepted consultant and expert witness assignments for prominent clients, including Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group.

The highlights of Mr. Pollack's career included being able to supervise law departments and negotiate major deals. He particularly enjoyed dispensing seven and eight figure checks personally to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. He was honored to be invited to Whitney Houston's 26th birthday party at her estate in Mendham, New Jersey, among 400 other invited guests. Mr. Pollack has also been a presenter at more than 42 conferences and symposiums between the years of 1973 and 2005.

Mr. Pollack is grateful to have been recognized for his work through his receipt of numerous awards. In 1978, he was bestowed with the Bronze Cindy Award from the International Film Producers of America for the video entitled "The Name of the Game is P&L." In 1993 he was named Father of the Year by the Port Washington News. Mr. Pollack won the Sandheim Prize for Contemporaneous Speaking from New York University in 1964 and the university invited him to be a distinguished speaker in 2003. Mr. Pollack is particularly proud of his work as Editor-in-Chief of the 1964 Violet magazine at NYU that same year he was chosen for the scholar service prize and was presented with an NYU chair.

Mr. Pollack has written multiple articles. Specifically, he is the author of "Contracts Must Protect Labels Too," "Suing the Stars-80s Style: The Copyright Infringement Lawsuit," "Management for In-House Counsel" and "The Financing of Artists Live Concert Tours."

In civic endeavors Mr. Pollack served as secretary and a Board member of the T.J. Martell Foundation. For 12 years he served on the Board of Advisors of the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center. Mr. Pollack is a past president and current executive committee member of The Copyright Society. For over 25 years he was a member of the legal committee of the Recording Industry Association of America and for a number of years he was a member of the corporate counsel section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Pollack is also a past president and current Board member of the Port Washington Library Foundation and a former President of the Morewood Oaks Homeowners Association.

Mr. Pollack enjoys such diversions as playing tennis, duplicate bridge, jogging, bowling, reading, the theater, and taking courses geared to seniors.
