Since establishing the firm in 2008, he has represented clients in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction defect cases, environmental law, insurance coverage, reinsurance and bad faith litigation, real estate law and professional liability. More recently, he has focused his practice on mediation. Previously, Mr. Chamberlin gained valuable expertise as a partner with Charleston & Chamberlin, where he worked for more than a decade.
A certified litigation management specialist, Mr. Chamberlin has participated in numerous landmark cases, including Western MacArthur Co., etc., v. US Fid. & Guar. Co., et al, which presented in excess of $6 billion in alleged asbestos liability, as well as complex insurance and 524(G) bankruptcy issues. In his appellate work, he has notably argued in Custom Ins. Co. v. Space Systems/Loral, et al., Foster-Gardner v. National Union, et al and Federal Ins. Co. v. Samsung Electronics America, et al. Mr. Chamberlin retains his professional alignment with the environmental and litigation sections of the Los Angeles Bar Association, as well as the litigation, real estate and commercial law sections of the State Bar of California.
In pursuit of his legal career, Mr. Chamberlin initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in 1984. Subsequently, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Iowa in 1987. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Chamberlin was admitted to practice law through the State Bar of California.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Mr. Chamberlin has written and lectured in the areas of insurance coverage and defense, bad faith claims, and cost-effective case resolution. Some of his many attributed publications include "A Survey of California Law: Real Answers," "Nationwide Survey of Independent Counsel Rules in Reservations of Rights Conflict Situations" and "A Nation-wide Survey of Defendant and/or Indemnity Obligations in Administrative Action Settings."
