A celebrated professional in the food and beverage industry for close to 40 years, Ms. Smith first worked as a sales representative for food service and lodging for the Proctor & Gamble Co. in Orlando, Florida, in 1982. Building relationships in the industry, she landed several more roles in the Orlando and Tampa area with E. & J Gallo Winery before relocating to Marietta, Georgia, to serve as the national accounts manager of National Accounts for Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine in 1994. Continuing to climb the corporate ladder, Ms. Smith was hired by Constellation Brands where she returned to Tampa which lead to her current position with Delicato Family Vineyards in 2016 as a National Accounts Manager. Top customers included Marriott International, Darden Restaurants and Bloomin Brands.
An alumnus of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, Ms. Smith went on to attend Florida State University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Communications for Business, Minor in Marketing and Management in 1982. Holding level one certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, she is also Level Two Advanced Certified with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. The Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust both provide education courses and qualifications for working in the wine and beverage industry.
A legacy member and past president of Krewe of Les Belles Femme, a non-profit organization in Florida, Ms. Smith has also been active with Children of Restaurant Employees, also known as CORE as an Advisory Board Member and Ambassador. Furthermore, she has donated her time to the ad hoc committee of The Florida Aquarium and as a 25+ year sponsor of the Florida State University Varsity Club and the Outback Bowl. She is also is very active with many local charities and fundraisers in the community.
Honored multiple times for her work, Ms. Smith received a nomination for VIBE (Very Important Beverage Executive) Winery of the Year Award for Delicato Family Wines in 2020, Supplier Excellence Award with Constellation Brands as Supplier of the Year every year between 2010 and 2015, a Constellation Brands On Premise Strategic Accounts Team Player Award in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. She has also been recognized with a Cheers Magazine Supplier Excellence Award for Best Large Wine Company in 2010 and 2011. Nora Lee has also received numerous customer recognition awards for Supplier of the year. In light of her accomplishments, Ms. Smith has previously been featured in Who's Who in Rising Young American Society and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in Emerging Leaders in America.
