In addition to the responsibilities of his current role, Mr. True has worked in private practice in Dallas since 1963. He is likewise the former president of Invesco International Corporation.

He is also the former director of The Mickey Mantle Foundation. The nonprofit organization was notably established to raise awareness for organ donations between 1995 and 1998.
An alumnus of Texas Christian University, Mr. True received a Bachelor of Science in 1961, followed by a Bachelor of Laws at Southern Methodist University in 1963. While pursuing a law degree, he was active on the editorial board of the Southwest Law Journal. He also completed postgraduate coursework on campus between 1968 and 1969. Mr. True has been admitted to practice law by the Texas Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and 11th Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. True is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been included in approximately 70 issues of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in the World.
