Myers, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Myers celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Enjoying a long and successful career in publishing, Dr. Myers has served as the vice president of R.J. Myers Publishing Company in Washington, since 1993. The company publishes biographies and autobiographies about certain individuals with overlooked stories in world history, as well as books which serve as useful resources for teachers, students, history lovers, global history researchers and historical writers. In addition the company offers motivational kits for children.

The author of several books, in 2018, Dr. Myers wrote and published "Invisible Queen: Mixed Ancestry Revealed" the story of a little-known Queen of England. She also co-authored "The Rescue of Robby Robo," a children's book, with her husband Roy J. Myers, and produced the "Can Do Kits," an interactive publication that reinforces positivity in children and youth. Her company has also published biographies for the Frank Perdue Family, of Perdue Farms.

Dr. Myers' diverse career as a small businesswoman includes managing capacity building projects for federal and local government agencies, non-profits and Historically Black Colleges. Prior to working in the private sector, she was a Reagan/Bush Presidential Appointee for the U.S. Government for 12 years, where she served as Director of the Office of Commercial Space Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation; Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and Special Assistant, Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce. While working for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Dr. Myers was notably the first person to authorize a U.S. commercial space launch of a privately owned rocket. She also traveled internationally to Berlin, Singapore and Paris to promote the growth of the commercial space transportation industry.

A dedicated civic and community leader, Dr. Myers was selected to attend the 1985 International Women's Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, as a member of the U.S. Delegation to promote the global status of women. She served on the Task Force which created the Office of Minority Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and was a leader of the "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign. As an avid advocate of non-violence, she is Co-Founder of the Annual Weeks of Positive Change, Non-Violence and Opportunities and has served as producer of two short films about violence prevention titled "On Second Thought" and "DROP: A Story of Triumph." She was National Co-Chair of Black Women for Obama; and currently serves as National Co-Chair of Black Women for Positive Change. She is President of the Positive Change Foundation; a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; and an Alumnae member of The Links Incorporated, Capital City Chapter.

Dr. Myers received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and African American studies at California State University in 1971, as well as a Master of Arts at Occidental College in 1975. She later attained a Doctor of Philosophy in applied management and decision sciences at Walden University in 2010. In 2018, Dr. Myers received a Community Recognition Award from The 100 Fathers Inc. She was formerly honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Office of Minority Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, in 1998 and, among other achievements, was named Woman of the Year at the Women's Transportation Seminar in 1990. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Myers has been cited in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
