In this role, she provides strategic and operational leadership on REMS programs spanning therapeutic areas, including the central nervous system, metabolism, oncology, transplants, dermatology and the cardiovascular sector. Additionally, Ms. Major drives regulatory strategies for REMS on complex, high-business priority products, strategizes plans and executes REMS submission of high complexity to health authorities, and establishes working relationships with health authorities.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Ms. Major worked in several executive roles for Hoffman-LaRoche and IPG, during which time she honed her core competencies in leadership, influence management, strategic thinking and interpersonal relationships. Earlier, she gained valuable industry experience as senior vice president and group account supervisor for Hyphen, Omnicom between 2001 and 2003, senior vice president of program planning and development for Promeda from 1997 until 2000, director of medical education for MPE Communications in 1996 and 1997. Ms. Major previously earned distinction as an account supervisor for Thomas G. Ferguson Associates for Commonhealth during the mid-1990s.
At the start of her career, Ms. Major built the foundation on which she now stands in executive, sales, consulting and medical education positions for ProCom International, Lederle Laboratories, Network Incorporated, Morristown Memorial Hospital and Valley Hospital. In pursuit of her career in healthcare, she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Villanova University in 1984. Due to her excellence in sales, she won the Gold Cup Award for Top Sales Region in the late-1980s.
