Mr. Young is renowned as an entrepreneur and business development expert with more than 40 years of expertise in marketing, sales, general management and logistics to his credit. Mr. Young's accomplished career in marketing, sales and general management began with Mostek in 1976. In 1981 he joined Hitachi America as Director of marketing for a $200M product line. Establishing Flash Memory and CMOS pioneer Exel Microelectronics, Inc., in 1983, he remained active as the company's vice president of marketing and sales until 1985. From 1985 to 1991, he served as Performance Semiconductor Corporation's manager of memory and logic marketing. Mr. Young was later appointed as the director of worldwide memory research for DataQuest in 1991.
Mr. Young further flourished as the vice president of sales and marketing for Alliance Semiconductor Corporation from 1991 to 1993 and co-founder and vice president of sales for Corsair Microsystems from 1993 to 1994. He was recruited as a co-founder, of Hyundai's Flash Memory business unit, which currently does over $5B in Flash sales and served from 1995 to 2002 as the vice president of marketing. Mr. Young thrived as the vice president of sales for VC funded Etenna from 2002 to 2004 and the vice president of sales for Contour Semiconductor from 2007 to 2010.
Mr. Young maintained his involvement as the CEO and President of Lynguent, Inc., from 2010 to 2011, during which time he was responsible for securing more than $5 million to bring a unique method for creating analog and digital models without use of code to the world market. Since 2002, he has found success as the chief executive officer of Young and Associates, a global consulting firm offering services for all aspects of enterprise management and growth. As a part of Young and Associates, Mr. Young has participated as a member of the board of directors of 5 companies and as an Advisory Board member to 18 technology companies.
In addition to his track record of excellence in marketing and development, Mr. Young has authored more than two dozen technical articles and holds two patents. He is, a former chair of the EIA JEDEC Standards Committee, where he served for five years. Furthermore, Mr. Young is a member of the IEEE.
