Ms. Newell is renowned as a registered nurse with more than 40 years of expertise in progressive care nursing and medical-surgical telemetry to her credit. After graduating from high school, her father offered to pay for nursing school if she chose to attend. Touched by his offer, but reluctant to put him in debt, she waited to enroll until she could finance her own education, and considers her father's gift to be her inspiration. Ms. Newell has notably obtained an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing, MSN.
Ms. Newell concluded her academic efforts at the University of Phoenix, earning a Master of Nursing in 2009 and entered a Doctor of Healthcare Administration program. She had found much success as a licensed practical nurse from 1980 to 1994 and as a nursing assistant through 1989. Currently, Ms. Newell is a licensed registered nurse for Nursefinders, for which she is primarily responsible for telemetric monitoring and post-surgical care.

She is the author of a book, "Chasing Undeserved Grace," which is currently in the publication process.
