Susan Eileen Young has been included in the 52nd through 55th editions of Who's Who in America, as well as the fourth through sixth editions of Who's Who in American Education.

A former elementary school educator, Ms. Young contributed more than 25 years of inimitable expertise to her profession before retiring in 2017. Prior to the conclusion of her career pursuits, she held the roles of a preschool special education, kindergarten and reading center paraprofessional between 1997 and 2004 on behalf of the Ferry Farm School in Stafford. She was a teaching assistant at West Gate Elementary School in Manassas, VA from 1994 to 1997 and a reading paraprofessional at Margaret Brent Elementary School in Stafford, VA from 2004 to 2017. Ms. Young formerly held teaching appointments at Holy Spirit School in Annandale, and Saint Mary School in Branford, Connecticut, and substituted in a variety of schools.
A tireless advocate of her community, Ms. Young has volunteered in the past with Special Olympics, Girl Scouts and most recently for political candidates and community engagements/activism locally and nationally. Ms. Young also served in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence specialist between 1983 and 1987.
Inspired by an aunt in her family who had found success as a reading teacher, Ms. Young dedicated herself towards pursuing a similar path. An alumnus of Annhurst College, she received a Bachelor of Arts in 1978. She later completed postgraduate coursework at George Mason University between 1988 and 1991. Eminently qualified, Ms. Young was a certified teacher in Connecticut and Virginia.
To remain aware of developments in her field in her field, Ms. Young is a member of the Stafford Education Association. She also maintains her affiliation as a member of the honorable societies of Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Delta Kappa. For her service in the military, she received a Good Conduct Medal in 1987. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Young has been included in the 52nd through 55th editions of Who's Who in America, as well as the fourth through sixth editions of Who's Who in American Education.
She now loves travel, both domestically and abroad, scrapbooking, reading and puzzles.
