Originally, Dr. De Rosa was a photographer and musician. After years of success, he desired to make more money and took a chance at entrepreneurship. Forming Tidy-Up Building Service in Rochester, New York, in 1963, a franchise company formerly known as Sani Care Building Service, his business did very well. He later started a janitorial supply business, selling Tidy-Up so that he could focus all his time to the new company.
Relocating to Arizona in 1977, Mr. De Rosa then purchased Mesa Janitorial Supply. He has remained in Arizona and has been prosperous ever since. In addition to his years of expertise in the janitorial and cleaning industries, Dr. De Rosa was the chief executive officer of Pottery Plus Ltd. for nearly 20 years, between 1984 and 2001.
Today, Dr. De Rosa remains active in music. He is a registered songwriter with Broadcast Music Inc. and a recording artist with DOT Records. His career in entertainment has led to various appearances in movies and on television and radio in New York and Arizona.
Through his community, Dr. De Rosa has been very active in politics and other initiatives. He notably ran for Mesa City Council in 1988. He also served as vice-chairman of the board of adjustments for the city of Mesa, was on the board of directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Mesa Chamber of Commerce and was chairman of the board for the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. De Rosa served as an active member of Shriners and the Mesa Rotary Club, is a 32nd degree Mason member of the El Zaribah Shrine, and, among other organizations, is a member of the East Valley Partnership. Furthermore, he is a member and past president of Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America and the Gilbert Heights Owners Association. He remains a board member of the Westlake Estates in the Val Vista Lakes Community.
Dr. De Rosa received a Bachelor of Science in business administration, Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in business administration. He also completed coursework at Mary's Hospital School of Medical and Biological Photography and the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, New York. He is a certified medical photographer. Dr. De Rosa also served his country in the United States Navy Reserve, the United States Army National Guard.
To stay current in his field, Dr. De Rosa is a member, past president and former board of directors' member of the Arizona Sanitary Supply Association. He was also a district director and secretary to the board of the International Sanitary Supply Association.
