Ms. Mullins is renowned as an exercise physiologist specializing in corrective exercise and nutrition. Drawn to the profession of caring, her initial interest in rehabilitation began from witnessing a poor understanding of nutrition and its effects on the body from her family and her own gastrointestinal issues, Ms. Mullins began her investigation of fitness and nutrition as a freshman in college when she realized that lifestyle change could directly impact her symptoms.
Ms. Mullins subsequently pursued an education at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in pre-physical therapy in 2014. She later obtained a Master's of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) in Exercise Physiology in 2016. After working as a Graduate Research Assistant in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's human performance laboratory, she realized that she preferred not to work in a hospital or medical setting, and began exploring alternative employment options. Ms. Mullins joined Fitness Beyond Training in 2016, a career move she credits with expanding her interest in rehabilitative and exercise nutrition as a component of wellness. In October of 2019, she established Shabe Shek Revival www.shabeshekrevival.com, refinishing and refurbishing furniture. In November of 2019, she began seeking opportunities to start her own business pursuing exercise physiology and nutrition.
Ms. Mullins holds NASM certifications in fitness nutrition and corrective exercise. She is trained and certified in selective functional movement assessment and functional movement systems. Likewise, she enjoys working with clients to identify the root cause of body imbalances, motion inefficiencies, and localized pain. Looking toward the future, Ms. Mullins looks forward to developing her knowledge of nutrition and continue to help clients with their functional movement goals.
