Jennifer A. Linn was named as the Conservatory Alumni of the Year in 2013 by the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

A talented musician, composer, arranger, teacher and clinician, Ms. Linn recently concluded her distinguished career as the manager of educational piano for Hal Leonard LLC in 2019, after more than 10 exemplary years. Originally founded in 1947, the company is the world's largest educational music publisher, and has pioneered outstanding methods for learning guitar, piano and other instruments. As a clinician, Ms. Linn presented workshops, master classes and Hal Leonard showcases throughout the U.S., Canada and India. She also composed and arranged for the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library and was an editor and recording artist responsible for several award-wining pieces, including the "Journey Through the Classics" series.
Ms. Linn devoted over 30 years to education, teaching at various independent studios to students of all ages, as well as group instruction and piano pedagogy at Saint Louis Community College and the University of Illinois. Many of her original compositions for piano students have been selected for promulgation by the National Federation of Music Clubs festival, the Music Teachers' Association of California Certificate of Merit and required repertoire lists worldwide. Throughout the length of her illustrious career, Ms. Linn has published dozens of original collections. She also founded the Saint Louis Artist Piano Auditions in 1997.
An alumnus of the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Ms. Linn received a Bachelor of Arts in music in 1982 and a Master of Arts in music and piano performance in 1986. Affiliated with several organizations related to her career in education, Ms. Linn is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Pikes Peak Music Teachers Association. Ms. Linn is also a member and former vice president of the Saint Louis Area Music Teachers Association.
In light of her numerous contributions to the field, Ms. Linn has been bestowed with a Vice Chancellor's Award for Academy Excellence and Service in 1982 and was named as the Conservatory Alumni of the Year in 2013 by the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She was also commissioned to compose a collaborative work for the MTNA national conference in Anaheim, California, where her trio Serendipity for piano, flute and horn premiered. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Linn has been featured in the 22nd edition of Who's Who of American Women.
