Ms. Spaulding is a retired elementary school teacher and s small business owner with more than 30 years of excellence in her field. She initially pursued an education at Bryant College, earning a degree in legal secretarial in 1965. Working briefly in the field before recognizing her calling to teach, she continued her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in physical education at Plymouth State College in 1971. Following these accomplishments, Ms. Spaulding eventually obtained a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education at Rivier University in 1987.
Prior to beginning her career in education. Ms. Spaulding served as a legal secretary for Robinson, Robinson & Cole in Hartford, Connecticut. Teaching physical education at Oxford Middle School from 1971 to 1974, she subsequently flourished as a substitute teacher at the E.G. Sherburne School in Pelham, New Hampshire, from 1984 to 1987. Ms. Spaulding found further success at the Stark Village School as a teacher from 1987 to 2008 and a head teacher from 1987 to 1994.
Since 1996, Ms. Spaulding has excelled as the owner of the Stark Village Inn, a guest house and bed and breakfast. Since 2008, she has reduced her classroom schedule to a part-time basis, though she continues to substitute and teach physical education. A volunteer musician for the United Methodist Church, she also maintains her involvement in nursing home ministry. A member of the National Education Association, Ms. Spaulding is a former trustee of the the Stark Library, and is currently active as the town's assistant treasurer. She also volunteers with the American Red Cross during blood drives in Groveton, NH.
