Utilizing her considerable knowledge, she has lectured for the University of New Mexico School of Law, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Foundation and the United States District Court Federal Bar Association. A member of the State Bar of New Mexico Bar, Ms. Curtis holds a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of New Mexico, from which she later graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Whenever she isn't working, she contributes to others as a trustee and the founder of LK Curtis Children's Fund, which focuses on protecting and enhancing the education and lives of children in New Mexico.
