An acclaimed conceptual artist and sculptor, Ms. Kavleski currently excels as a board member with Amos Eno Gallery and as an Albatross antiques and art dealer in South Fallsburg. Previously, she gained valuable expertise in the field as an antiques and art dealer with Brockmann's Antique Center between 1983 and 2009. During the beginning of her career, Ms. Kavleski served as an art advisor and an editor for the Literary and Art Magazine at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School and as an art teacher with the Monticello Central School District.
Throughout her career, Ms. Kavleski has been commissioned by a plethora of notable patrons, including Dr. Goddad Lainjo and Dr. Gustav Gavis, to create installations of painted constructions in Monticello. Due to her exceptional work, she has also been featured in the Bau Gallery, the Sullivan County Democrat on numerous occasions, the Times Herald Record and the Great Neck Record. Over the course of her decades' long career, Ms. Kavleski has participated in exhibitions and art shows for the Catskill Art Society, the Annual National Association of Women Artists, Inc., the Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Art Gallery, the Shops at the Loom, the Sullivan County Museum & Cultural Center, the Amos Eno Gallery, the Schenectady Museum Association and the Butler Institute of American Art, to name a few.
Ms. Kavleski initially honed her expertise in the arts with an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Orange County Community College. She continued her studies at SUNY New Paltz, earning a Bachelor of Science before completing graduate coursework in fine arts. In order to remain aware of changes in the arts, Ms. Kavleski is affiliated with the New York State Art Teachers Association, the New York Retired Teachers Association, and various museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Guggenheim Museum.
In recognition of her considerable achievements, Ms. Kavleski has been honored many times, attaining first place for an installation at the Nepenthe Mundi Emerald City Classic in 1987, as well as the Miriam E. Halpern Member Award, the Elizabeth Horman Member Award and the Eve Helman Memorial Award from the National Association of Women Artists. She was additionally presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. Professional publications such as Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Art have also recognized her for her accomplishments in the field. Looking toward the future future, Ms. Kavleski aims to continue working as an arts dealer and a board member with Amos Eno Gallery.
