Notably obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Dr. Strack became a certified professional hydrologist through the American Institute of Hydrology.
Dr. Strack began his career as a research associate at Delft University of Technology before accepting his current position as a professor at the University of Minnesota. In addition, he has served as the president and the owner of Strack Consulting LLC for more than 30 years. Credited with the development of the analytic element method, Dr. Strack also farms hay commercially in order to further benefit his community.
Specializing in hydrology and soil mechanics, Dr. Strack has contributed his knowledge to the field, having authored several textbooks including "Groundwater Mechanics," "Analytical Groundwater Mechanics" and "Application of Vector Analysis and Complex Variables in Engineering." His goal with these textbooks was to make industry information more accessible to people at large. In the coming years, Dr. Strack will continue to do research, teach, and develop software, to improve management of the quality and quantity of groundwater.
