Since obtaining his current role, he has directed and guaranteed incoming materials from suppliers, negotiated with U.S. and Saudi Arabian government transportation companies about rates and service levels, and accurately performed analysis to identify deficient areas to assist in reducing out-of-control or undesirable performance levels in the F-15Sa Program Supply Chain, which resulted in 84% accuracy in inspection rates for the program. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Turner is especially proud of serving the U.S. Government and operating his own business.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Turner gained valuable expertise as a P5 foreign military sales logistics manager for Eglin Air Force Base from 2012 until 2014and an integrated logistics management specialist and U.S. Air Force civilian for the Common Range Integrated Instrumentation System from 2011 until 2012. He has further flourished as a contractor for COLSA Corporation, Odyssey Consulting Group and the Eglin Air Force Base between 2006 and 2016. Earlier in his career, Mr. Turner worked in various logistical roles for Sierra Nevada Corporation, Unshippers Global Logistics/COLSA, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Department of Defense after retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant in 2004.
In pursuit of his career, Mr. Turner became certified as an airframe and power-plant mechanic, and accrued certifications in freight forwarding and aircraft load-planning. Moreover, he earned a certification in logistics management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1999. Designated as a demonstrated master logistician through the International Society of Logistics Engineers, Mr. Turner additionally accepted a certificate in logistics, materials and supply chain management, a property broker license through the FMCSA and a Bachelor of Arts in business logistics management from Ohio Christian University.
Devoted to his community, Mr. Turner dedicates his spare time to his church, as well as set-up for Relay for Life. Due to his outstanding work in the field, he was honored as Logistician at a Quarter in 2014 and 2016. Looking ahead, Mr. Turner intends to expand his business and focus on importing and exporting.
