After 15 successful years with the aforementioned firm, he accepted a position with Deutsch Kerrigan, with which he now excels as an attorney. In this capacity, he specializes in commercial litigation, construction law and litigation, insurance coverage, commercial transportation and the professional liability of attorneys, accountants, agents and brokers. Prior to embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Mount pursued an education at Louisiana State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1998 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2001. Upon graduating from law school, he was admitted to practice law in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Mr. Mount has also represented cases before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Mount is affiliated with the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Mississippi Bar and the Federal Bar Associations. He has also maintained his involvement with the Defense Research Institute, the Council on Litigation Management and the Louisiana Association of Defense Council. Due to his outstanding work in the field, he was recognized as the Best Lawyers in America in 2019 and 2020 and been honored by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV-Preeminent Attorney.
