With nearly 15 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Junia has excelled as a director in Sourcing and Procurement at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) since 2019. Focusing her efforts on more than 20 clients in the Midwest Region, including the likes of General Motors, Mars/Wrigley, BMO Harris Bank and Commonwealth Edison, she oversees $500 million in total third party spending by leading a team of more than 15 associates who source the best practices possible for supply chain solutions. In order to understand what procurement best practices are needed for each client, Ms. Junia considers risk mitigation, proven cost savings, preferred supplier relationships, innovation and standardization into her strategic decisions, which continues to lead her toward great success.
Previously, Ms. Junia worked at JLL as an associate director for PDS supply chain between 2015 and 2019. Delivering more than $240 million in cost savings through their Synergy platform during this time, she proudly negotiated more than 30 preferred relationships with service providers, more than 2,100 schedule-saving strategies and supported over 40 new business pursuits. Expanding their platform throughout Canada, Ms. Junia held the positions of a workplace strategic council leader, nominated to the Emerging Leader program for global project delivery, and a contributing researcher for more than 60 published case studies during this time.
Throughout her career at Jones Lang Lasalle, Ms. Junia has served in many roles beginning as an accountant and rising to senior sourcing manager, and is affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. Ms. Junia began her career as an assistant to leasing and investments for the Regency Centers Corporation from 2005 to 2006, a role in which she assisted in reviews, analysis, research, coordination and competitor evaluation. She subsequently held the positions of a property accountant, as a member of the property management team with Capstar Commercial Real Estate from 2006 to 2008.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Junia pursued an education at Illinois State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in finance and mathematics in 2005. Following this accomplishment, she obtained a safety certification from OSHA and earned LEED Green Associate from the United States Green Building Council in 2013. Since 2017, Ms. Junia has been certified as a sourcing professional by SIG University.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Junia has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has notably contributed to the Safe Haven for Women as a fundraiser and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer as both a fundraiser and a walker in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Ms. Junia found success with her volunteer efforts as well, providing her time and resources to Deborah's Place, American Red Cross, Feed My Starving Children, and the Green Oaks Retirement Home. Most notably, Ms. Junia leads a committee for Fill a Heart 4 Kids (FAH4K) – an organization that supports over 1,500 foster homeless youth. Ms. Junia has been dedicated to a group home for teenage girls in the Chicagoland area since 2018.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Junia has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. In 2010, she was nationally recognized by Jones Lang LaSalle as the Team Player of the Year. That same year, she accepted the VIP Award for the Capital Tracker Project from the JLL Excel Task Force. JLL also presented Ms. Junia with the Da Vinci Award for Innovation for Waste Watchers in 2011 and the Da Vinci Award for Innovation for Synergy in 2014.
An ambitious and motivated figure within her industry, Ms. Junia has harbored an inherent interest in leading people and cultivating talent in a team environment, which she can express on a daily basis at JLL. She attributes her success to her multiple mentors, including June Evans, who fostered her leadership instincts, and Samantha Mehal, who realized the best areas for which those instincts were suited. Moreover, Ms. Junia has drawn inspiration from the likes of such integral women as Ayn Rand, who stated "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me" and Eleanor Roosevelt, who famously said, "Well behaved women rarely make history."
Furthermore, Ms. Junia is incredibly proud of her award-winning team, having witnessed so many colleagues grow within their careers, as well as the opportunity to usher programs from infancy to exemplary results. In her spare time, she dedicates her attention to her incredible family, including her loving spouse and her three children (5, 3, and 1 years of age).
