A celebrated Marquis listee, Cathryne Anne Nelson Mullen has been included in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the World.

An accomplished listee, Ms. Mullen celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Leading a diverse and rewarding career, Ms. Mullen initially became a schoolteacher following her graduation from college, teaching at Tammany Elementary School District #343 in Lewiston, Idaho, in 1967. Nearly a decade later, she relocated to Keflavik, Iceland, alongside her husband, who was active in the military. Once settled, she began working as a librarian at the U.S. Naval Station library and, shortly thereafter, volunteered with the American Red Cross in order to avail her skills to organize the Naval Station Hospital Library. Additionally, Ms. Mullen worked as a Club Reporter for 2 Clubs of Navy Wives Clubs of America (NWCA): NWCA Kitsap #46 (formerly Bremerton #46) and NWCA Whidbey Island #150. She submitted articles to NWCA's monthly newsletter: Navy Wives News (1978-1984) and later titled The ECHO (1992-1994). Since 1993, Ms. Mullen has been a reporter for the Shelton United Methodist Church Newsletter (formerly The Christian Witness)."

A strident community advocate, Ms. Mullen has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a cub scouts den leader and telephone chairperson, and with the Girl Scouts of the United States of America as a juniors' troop telephone chairperson. Likewise, she excelled as a volunteer receptionist for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, a parent volunteer for several area elementary schools, a committee member of the Church Library Committee at Bremerton First United Methodist Church - 1985-1990. Since 1992, Ms. Mullen has been the Church Librarian at Shelton United Methodist Church. Among other roles, Ms. Mullen served as the Secretary of Program Resources for Shelton United Methodist Women (UMW) for 27 years - 1993-2020.

Born in Seattle, Ms. Mullen later attended the University of Idaho, where she acquired a Bachelor of Science in education in 1967. Her subsequent career has led her to become active with several professional organizations, including the American Association of University Women Bremerton, WA Chapter, as both a member and former secretary. Ms. Mullen was also a member of the public relations committee for the Navy Wives Clubs of America, Whidbey Island #150 and Bremerton #46, where she notably received a Certificate of Appreciation in 1988 for her dedication.

As a testament to her accomplishments in education, Ms. Mullen received a Golden Acorn Award from Clear Creek Elementary School and Washington Congress Parents and Teachers Association in 1981. In recognition of her volunteer efforts, she was honored with an Eagle Scout Mother's Pin by the Boy Scouts of America in 1986. She also received a Volunteer Pin for 2,500 Hours of Service by the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society in 1991 and two Special Membership Awards by the United Methodist Women in 1989 and 1998. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Mullen has been included in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the World.
