Devoted to his community, William Haley has served on various boards and Committees
ATLANTA, GA, June 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- J. William Haley has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Inspired by his father, a lawyer and judge, Mr. Haley was greatly inspired to pursue a career in law.
An expert in his field, Mr. Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics 1970, and, in 1976, both a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, all from the University of Georgia. In law school he was a class officer and Decisions Editor of the Georgia Law Review and authored "Corporate Liquidations" and "The Casualty Conversation Dilemma," which was featured in the Georgia Law Review in 1975. He was admitted to practice law in the State Bar of Georgia in 1976. Mr. Haley retains his professional alignment with the business and finance, corporate counsel and taxation sections of the Atlanta Bar Association, the business law and taxation sections of the Georgia Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
In 1998 Mr. Haley left his position with a large firm to join smaller group, now known as Jones & Haley. The firm describes itself as dedicated to providing clients with "large firm expertise with small firm attention and prices." At Jones & Haley Mr. Haley specializes in corporate and commercial law, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Representing local and national clients, he has successfully handled close to 100 M&A transactions, and successfully litigated and arbitrated numerous business breakups and commercial disputes.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Haley is especially proud of his personal achievements, including coaching his two children in soccer, basketball and baseball and leading the Berean Sunday school class at First Presbyterian Church In Atlanta for nearly 20 years.
Devoted to his community, Mr. Haley has served on various boards and Committees, including serving as a member and later Chair of the LifeSouth Advisory Board. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and vice president and treasurer of the Douglas C. Allen lnstitute for the Study of Cities, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to helping create better cities, and serves as a board member for Sims Patrick Studio. Inc.
In recognition of his professional achievements, he has accrued an AV-rating through Martindale-Hubbell for nearly 25 years. Looking toward the future, Mr. Haley intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
