Mr. Bahader, the 75 year old Egyptian, has gained international fame for becoming the world's oldest professional football player. Since 2020, he has signed to 6th of October Egyptian club, with which he had made his debut in March, hoping to attain Guinness Book of World Records status. Mr. Bahader, in his first professional participation, scored a penalty goal and became the oldest professional footballer scoring a goal in an official game. He is aiming to break the existing record that was registered by Guinness Record to become the oldest player in the world by participating in another professional game.
A father of four and grandfather of six, Mr. Bahader's transition to professional football (soccer), emerged after enjoying careers in land rehabilitation from the American University in Cairo (1992) , He also previously obtained a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Ain Shams University (1969), he became an effective member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) and the International Association For Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) as well as certificates in prefabricated building design from UK, Canada and Switzerland.
Mr. Bahader was active as a structural engineer for KPBC from (1974 to 1982), he joined the UNICAST as a consultant engineer (1982 – 1989) he was the chairman and the head manager of the technical department.
In 1989, Mr. Bahader flourished as the owner and chairman of El-Salmiya company for land reclamation with which he had continued his work in desert land reclamation until he signed with the 6th of October club in 2020, his sports debut was covered by international media outlets including BBC and Reuters. Furthermore, he hopes to be an inspiration to others to pursue their dreams regardless of their age. Mr. Bahader hopes also to perform on the 2022 world cup Qatar with the Egyptian team.
