PARKER, CO, June 16, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeff Griffin has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. At the dawn of his career, Mr. Griffin began flying in Northern Michigan and obtained a job as a geologist and field manager for Core Laboratories, for which he worked for three years. However, the reality of working in the industry did not live up to his dream, so he began to pursue a career as a pilot. Between 1977 and 1986, he gained valuable expertise in the field as a pilot and a captain for Metro Airlines in Houston, Texas. Subsequently, Mr. Griffin flourished for more than 20 years as a captain and a co-pilot for Republic Airlines/Northwest Airlines, as well as a captain and a pilot for Northwest/Delta Airlines before his retirement.
In pursuit of his career, Mr. Griffin earned a degree from Lamar University in 1973. An avid artist, he also fostered his creativity, graduating from art school in 1992. Now that he is retired, he indulges in his love of the arts as a visual artist of numerous "paintographs," which are selected and extracted main images from a photograph enhanced with atmosphere and intense color that establishes an otherworldly feel. Throughout his career, Mr. Griffin has depicted numerous landscapes, aircraft, wildlife and railroads in this medium.
Apart from his artistic endeavors, Mr. Griffin is a musician and author. In addition to writing several books on flying techniques through TAB/McGraw-Hill, he released two albums, "New Beginnings: New Music in Old Styles" and "Across the Years" in 2019. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of authoring 11 books and being recognized as one of the pioneers of the "paintography" medium. In the coming years, Mr. Griffin aims to record and release several more albums.
