PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 19, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Zachary Lewis, Esquire, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With a wide range of educational and practical experience to his credit, Mr. Lewis serves as a judicial clerk for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, where he previously volunteered as a judicial fellow to the Honorable Anne Lazarus. Prior to his exemplary efforts as a judicial clerk, he excelled as a law clerk with Sidney L. Gold & Associates where he liaised with clients, conducted fact-gathering interviews, prepared affidavits and written responses to interrogatories, and participated in mediations with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Lewis also engaged in substantial research and writing assignments, including the drafting of numerous complaints and successful motions filed in state and federal courts.
As a law student, Mr. Lewis gained valuable expertise as a staff editor for the Temple Law Review and as a research assistant at Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. As a research assistant to Dean Jaya Ramji-Nogales, he had the opportunity to develop his legal research and writing skills and co-author a policy-advocacy report for the Sheller Center for Social Justice on the changing credibility standard in "credible fear" interviews for asylum eligibility; a project he greatly appreciated as the grandson of a Holocaust survivor. In his final year of law school, Mr. Lewis also served as a teaching assistant to Dean Ramji-Nogales in her Civil Procedure class for first-year law students.
Mr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Spanish minor from the Pennsylvania State University in 2016; during his undergraduate years, he also studied abroad in Seville, Spain studying Spanish language and culture. Subsequently, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law where he continued his Spanish-language education and graduated cum laude. Dedicated to his community, Mr. Lewis has a history of contributing to those in need as a tutor for Holland Elementary School, a volunteer for the American Red Cross and The Expungement Project, and a fundraising chairman for his fraternity benefitting Four Diamonds and families affected by pediatric cancer.
In light of his outstanding work, Mr. Lewis accepted Temple Law's Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award in 2017, as well as both the Reuben E. Cohen Memorial Award for academic achievement in real estate law and Josef Jaffe Corporate Scholarship for excellence in corporate law in 2019. He was additionally presented with the Beasley Scholarship from Temple Law, a full tuition scholarship. Looking forward to the future, Mr. Lewis hopes to further establish himself within a prominent law firm in Philadelphia with opportunities for growth.
