With an innate interest in chemistry and a desire to help others, Mr. Lewis serves as a manager of pharmacy operations at Walgreens. Throughout his career he has established programs for point of care screenings, immunizations, and medication therapy management pharmaceutical outcomes in several retail Pharmacies. During his career he has served as a preceptor for ambulatory clinical education and pharmaceutical training for pharmacy interns and technicians in training. Additionally, he excels as a consultant in clinical pharmacogenomics at LRx Precision Health Consulting and clinical nutrition at WW Health and Wellness Center. As a liaison of these clinical specialties, Dr. Lewis frequently analyzes evidence-based clinical data to compose health tips, clinical and scientific presentations, diabetic care education and training, and clinical consults. In this capacity, Dr. Lewis also collaborates with doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists and personal trainers to optimize patient health outcomes. In addition to developing his clinical expertise, Dr. Lewis has become a prominent entrepreneur and businessman serving as the President of WW Health and Wellness Center and Vice President of Vernal Property Management for many years. With a desire to give of his time, Dr. Lewis has volunteered at the American Cancer Society serving as an advocate for cancer patients nationwide.
Before obtaining his current positions, Dr. Lewis gained valuable expertise in the field as a pharmacy manager for Rite-Aid and Smith's Food and Drug, for which he also worked as a clinical lead. In pursuit of his dream career, he earned an Associate of Science in molecular biology from Utah Valley University in 2004, a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Washington in 2009, a Master of Business Administration from Western Governor's University, Master of Science in Precision Medicine and Pharmacogenomics from the University of Florida, and completed post graduate studies in clinical nutrition. Over the years, Dr. Lewis has also become board certified as an ambulatory care pharmacist (BCACP), medical affairs specialist (BCMAS), medication therapy management specialist (BCMTMS), and clinical nutritionist (CCN). Additionally, Dr. Lewis received professional certificates in pharmacogenomics, advanced oncology practice, asthma care, diabetic care and pharmacy-based immunizations. Most recently Dr. Lewis was accepted as a member of the Pharmacogenomics Research Network (PGRN) and Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) which is a global network consisting of individual volunteer clinician and scientists dedicated to the pursuit of facilitating pharmacogenomic testing to improve patients health outcomes and clinical care.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Lewis is affiliated with the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO), American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), American Society of Health System Pharmacists, Utah Pharmacists Association (UPhA) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). For his outstanding work in the field, he accepted an Award for Best Health Food/Weight Loss Center in 2014 and 2015.
