Having accrued more than 35 years of inimitable expertise as a public servant of Dodge County in Juneau, Wisconsin, Ms. Ebert retired from her position as a county clerk in 2003. Originally hired as deputy county clerk in 1967, she was later elected in 1983 after her predecessor had retired. Running for re-election throughout the course of her career, Ms. Ebert remained in her position for two decades.
During her tenure, Ms. Ebert held many responsibilities, including the issuing of marriage licenses. She was also deeply involved in many changes and advances which changed the way she did business, such as transitioning from paper ballots to punch cards and finally optical scans. Prior to working for the County in local government, Ms. Ebert was a finance secretary and receptionist for Household Financial Corporation in Beaver Dam for nine years.
A dedicated civic advocate, Ms. Ebert served on the board of directors for the Dodge County chapter of the American Cancer Society. She was also active as a board member and volunteer for her local Church Health Service and as a parishioner of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. A lifelong resident of Beaver Dam, Ms. Ebert is a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She holds several certificates in professional development and in public management essentials.
Among her professional memberships, Ms. Ebert was aligned with the Wisconsin County Clerks Association for many years. Between 1994 and 199, she served in various capacities as a historian, treasurer, secretary, vice president and president.
