At the age of 11, Dr. Luz Angela Lopez decided that she would pursue a career in medicine. She currently excels as a family physician with Ohana Kids and Family Kare, where she specializes in preventive medicine and conservative primary care for babies, children, teenagers and adults of all ages while supervising three locations and 15 employees. Her compassionate manner is noted as helping even the smallest children feel at ease in her presence. Along with her stellar staff, she treats acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, asthma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and a range of skin issues. In her practice, she orders and executes diagnostic tests, administers appropriate courses for treatment, counsels patients on proper birth control methods, and manages and directs activities for Physician's Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and other medical staff. Additionally, she is certified to provide immigration physicals through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Prior to her tenure with Ohana Kids and Family Kare, Dr. Luz Angela Lopez gained valuable expertise in medicine as a family physician with Kids Kare Pediatrics, which she joined in 2004, and in Mexico dating back to 1992.
In pursuit of her aspirations, Dr. Luz Angela Lopez earned a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad de Montemorelos in Mexico in 1992. She subsequently completed a PGYI internship in family practice at the Bella Vista Family Residence Program and a residency through the Phoenix Baptist Residency Program in 2004. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she aligns herself with the Academy of Family Physicians and the association of American Physicians.

In recognition of her professional accomplishments, she was selected as the Resident of the Month on numerous occasions during her residency, accepted the Practice Management Award from the Phoenix Baptist Residency Program, honored as a Heart-felt Physician in Phoenix Latino Perspective Magazine and was celebrated as the Top Medical Practitioner with Women in Medicine and Leading Physicians of the World in 2020. Dr Luz Angela Lopez attributes her success in her medical practice to her commitment to God which inspires a passion for excellence in all areas of her life, and an unrelenting perseverance to facilitate and promote the total health of her patients and staff.
