After graduating at age 19, from Cumberland College, (now known as University of the Cumberlands), in the late 1960s with a bachelor's degree in education, Ms. Jones began her career with the Owens Corning Fiberglass and Bergman Leasing Company. A few years later, she embarked upon her decades-long educational tenure, excelling as a business studies teacher for Toledo Board of Education Whitley County Board of Education. Ms. Jones also served as Whitley County District Technology Coordinator overseeing the installations of networks and phone systems in each of the District's schools and Central Office before retiring. Over the years, Ms. Jones has also parlayed her considerable expertise to students as an instructor at Cumberland College.
In addition to her undergraduate degree, Ms. Jones earned a master's degree from Union College. Moreover, she completed 30 additional hours of coursework at Eastern Kentucky University. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is especially proud of fostering successful relationships with the students that she has taught. Looking forward, Ms. Jones intends to continue enjoying her well-deserved retirement.
