Dr. Kelsi L. Anderson the provost of Bryan College of Health Sciences.
LINCOLN, NE, July 14, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kelsi L. Anderson, PhD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology from North Park University and a Doctor of Philosophy in microbiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Anderson embarked upon her professional journey as a postdoctoral research fellow. She enjoyed having been able to mentor the next generation of scientists, and was inspired to pursue teaching at the undergraduate level. Dr. Anderson subsequently joined the faculty at Concordia University and became an assistant professor of biology and director of academic operations. She briefly served as an associate professor and director of the Biomedical Science Program before entering into her current position as the provost of Bryan College of Health Sciences.
Inspired by the great mentors she encountered throughout her academic career, Dr. Anderson has used her position to be of service to students and guide them toward success. Among the responsibilities of her current position, she oversees all academic affairs of the college, which includes personnel management of the academic deans, the registrar, the library director, and the simulation center director. Dr. Anderson also facilitates fundraising to support strategic initiatives, and ultimately, represents the college to internal and external constituents.
For her accomplishments in academia, Dr. Anderson was named as a Bryan Young Professionals Super Hero in 2019, and as the Professor of the Year by Concordia University in 2012 and 2016. She has attributed her success to her passion for the work that she does on behalf of young minds.
