Mr. Vaccariello is a recognized musical director and conductor who has been involved with numerous Broadway shows over the years, including On Your Feet, Cabaret (2014 and 1998 revivals), Annie, Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway, West Side Story, Come Fly Away, Lend Me a Tenor, Gypsy (with both Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters), A Chorus Line, La Cage aux Folles, The Boy From Oz, Dance of the Vampires, Jesus Christ Superstar, Victor / Victoria, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cats, and Take Me Along. He most recently supervised and conducted Hugh Jackman's World Tour, The Man. The Show. The Music. which began in May 2019 and included 90 stadium performances throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Mr. Vaccariello was a vocal coach for the 2017 musical film "The Greatest Showman". He will serve as Musical Director for the new production of The Music Man starring Hugh Jackman and opening on Broadway in the spring of 2021.
Some of Mr. Vaccariello's other noteworthy roles include Supervisor and Conductor for five Tony Awards telecasts between 2014 and 2018, conducting numerous times at the Kennedy Center Honors, and twice conducting for Patti LuPone, once at the 2018 Grammy Awards and again with the New York Philharmonic for Lincoln Center's 2019 Spring Gala. Abroad, he has conducted Cabaret at Théâtre Marigny in Paris, A Chorus Line at The Palladium in London, and numerous productions of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber worldwide, including one at Beijing's Great Hall of The People. Likewise, he was the musical conductor for Radio City Music Hall's Spring Spectacular and appeared in the 2008 documentary, "Every Little Step: The Making of the Chorus Line Revival."
Having discovered his talent for the piano while coming of age, Mr. Vaccariello later became involved in local theater while in high school, where he was fortunate to be mentored by his music teacher Mr. Norman Elia. After receiving his degree in music at The Hartt School, a performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford, Mr. Vaccariello relocated to New York City to pursue his professional career. In recognition of his myriad of accomplishments, Mr. Vaccariello received a Distinguished Alumni Award from The Hartt School in 2010.
