BURNSVILLE, MN, July 15, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clifford Hanson, SMSgt USAF Ret, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Backed by more than 30 years of professional expertise, Mr. Hanson has excelled as a quality assurance specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Defense Contract Management Agency. Over the last two years, he has reviewed contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements that the contractor's processes must meet, performed contract technical reviews and collected objective quality evidence for purchased materials, vendor controls and key process reviews, measuring and analysis. Additionally, Mr. Hanson ensures the flow down of contractual requirements and performs process reviews regarding manpower, material, machine, method and environment.
Apart from his work with the Defense Contract Management Agency, Mr. Hanson flourishes as an aircraft engine mechanic supervisor for the U.S. Department of Defense. In this capacity, he ensures that adequate equipment, tools, parts and materials are available, determines the need for additional training requirements, maintains surveillance work in progress while concentrating on problem areas, and reviews employee time and attendance records to verify that all entries are correct. Prior to his current posts with the federal government, Mr. Hanson served with the U.S. Department of Defense as a turboprop mechanic.
Between 1990 and 2014, Mr. Hanson was a turboprop mechanic before moving to quality assurance and in 2016 he became the engine shop supervisor. At the beginning of his career, he gained valuable expertise in the military as a crew chief with the United States Air Force during the late 1980s; he retired after 32 years of service. During his spare time, Mr. Hanson contributes to his community as a lifetime member with Veterans of Foreign Wars and as a volunteer with Mary's Place.
An expert in his field, Mr. Hanson earned an Associate of Arts from the Community College of the Air Force in 2013. He subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in management from National American University in 2020. Throughout his career, Mr. Hanson has also completed specialized training in aircraft maintenance, aerospace propulsion, crash damaged disabled aircraft recovery training, aircraft weight and balance, risk management, production, quality and manufacturing fundamentals.
In light of his outstanding work in the field, Mr. Hanson has been presented with 9 Wartime Medals. He was additionally recognized as the Civil Servant of the Year in Minneapolis in 2014. Looking ahead, Mr. Hanson aims to obtain a master's degree and hopefully retire within the next 10 years so that he may travel the world.
