Representing clients for more than 25 years, Mr. Angel contributed to his career as a field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Baltimore and as a supervising trial attorney for the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) in Dallas Texas. Entering private practice in 1980, he began representing employees on various cases regarding employment rights, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, compensation and benefits, retirement, and diversity. Mr. Angel maintained offices in Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and Washington, D.C. until 2003.
Upon retiring from the practice of law, Mr. Angel established Human Resources Civil Rights Risk Assessment in Oklahoma and Oregon. Drawing from a wealth of employment law expertise, he offers expert assistance in human resources and employee relations, as well as civil rights. Mr. Angel's consulting services cover a full range of human resource issues, including but not limited to, compensation, employee rights, employee relations, labor relations and contract negotiations.
Mr. Angel's impressive career included a teaching position at Sonoma State University during 2015, where he taught Legal Environment of Business and Business Law. He also provided his expertise as the Articles Editor for the Oklahoma City University Law Review from 1976 to 1977. Mr. Angel has since contributed multiple articles to various professional publications in his area of expertise.
An alumnus of the University of Maryland, Mr. Angel received Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration with a major in Personnel and Labor Relations in 1972. He subsequently attained a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Oklahoma City University in 1976 and a Master of Laws in Labor Law at George Washington University in 1979. In 2007 he received a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland, University College. Mr. Angel holds certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and as a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Mr. Angel is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA).
Awarded with a Special Achievement Certificate from the Federal Labor Relations Authority in 1980, Mr. Angel also received several awards from Oklahoma City University in 1975 and 1976. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been featured in more than 35 editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
