IRVING, TX, July 21, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Henry Madison Morris, III, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Morris celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Raised in a Christian family, Mr. Morris came of age as the eldest son of the co-founder of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in Dallas, where he now serves as the chief executive officer and executive vice president. Throughout the course of his extensive career, which began in 1969 as a pastor for Hallmark Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, he has also acquired positions in academia at Christian Heritage College as both a professor and administrative vice president and later at the Church at Rocky Peak in Chatsworth, California, as an administrative pastor. In addition to his work in ministry and education, Mr. Morris enjoyed several high-level corporate positions as the regional manager for an insurance company in South Carolina and as the vice president of sales and marketing for SunGard.
Mr. Morris, who has been aligned with the ICR since 2000, continues to uphold the practices upon which the organization was founded in 1970, which includes conducting scientific research regarding Earth history and providing public education. In 2015, he expanded ICR by building and founding the ICR Discovery Center for Science and Earth History Museum in Dallas to better inform and attract the younger generation to ministry. Notable for its success, the Museum boasts planetarium shows, state-of-the-art exhibits and live science presentations, all of which teach children how science confirms the Bible. Outside of his commitments at the ICR and the Museum, Mr. Morris continues to speak frequently at church congregations, college campuses and other locations on various topics relative to ministry. He has, over the years, also served as a consultant for World Publishers and as the commissioner for the Transitional Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
A prolific writer, Mr. Morris has published numerous books and contributed several articles to professional publications. Some of his more recent books include "Your Origins Matter" in 2013, "Unlocking the Mysteries of Genesis" in 2016 and "Stand Fast: God's Guidance for Kingdom Living" in 2018. One of his favorite books, which was released in 2012, is "The Book of Beginnings: A Practical Guide to Understand and Teach Genesis." Moreover, Mr. Morris excelled as an editor for "The Defender's Bible" in 1995.
Serving in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1966, Mr. Morris was shortly thereafter ordained to ministry in the Baptist Church in 1968. He has since received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, at Christian Heritage College, a Master of Divinity at Luther Rice Seminary, a Master of Business Administration at Pepperdine University, and a Doctor of Ministry at Luther Rice Seminar. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Morris has been showcased in over 45 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World.
